Daviess County Panthers - "Je n'aime pas beaucoup ma gamelle" (1996, Sonic Bubblegum Records)

Daviess County Panthers
 (1996, Sonic Bubblegum Records)

A very good post-rock band (the noisy kind) engineered by Steve Albini.
It brought them a bit of a fame, but not for long...
Very few info about them on the net (not even a Youtube video, guess I'll have to do it myself !)
if you find more tell me using the comment area.
They've also been filed under math-rock... Could be, I'm
easily confused with all these categories and sub-categories !

Drop Nineteens - "Delaware" (1992, Caroline Records)

Drop Nineteens
(1992, Caroline Records)

This is the original cover art, but there are also censored versions (gun removed).
This band sounded like a (good) U.K. shoegaze band, but they were actually from Boston.

Crappy video version not on album !

Beautiful acoustic album version !

Telstar Ponies - "In The Space of a Few Minutes" (1995, Fire Records)

Telstar Ponies
(1995, Fire Records)

Debut album of a good scottish band from Edinburgh that should have deserved more recognition.
They opened a path for bands like Mogwai (who formed in 1995), but fell into oblivion...
A bit too deviant from the slowly dying noisy pop scene (1995 !) and too ahead of its time for post-rock
sound-alikes (Mogwai's "Young team" album is from 1997). Call it bad luck !

Bis - "Eurodisco" Promo EP

Bis

Let's make things clear: this one is perfectly inaudible to my tastes...
But it's sold 11€ secondhand on the net, so if you're really into
crappy remixes (not that I'm against remixes, but I'm not into that kind of remixes),
save money and get it here !
